One-of-a-Kind Natural Rock Art Angels on Wood Crosses!

God and mother nature have guided me to a new art form which I have never seen done before.  I knew it was to be called the "Rock of Ages Series".  The rocks are mostly native to South Texas and are set on wooden crosses using industrial strength adhesive.  There is a thumbnail picture of each piece below.

Texas. the flower representing Jesus, The rose of Sharon is a rose rock from Oklahoma. the ground is moss agate from Johnny French of corpus christi, Texas.

"Our Lady of Guadalupe"The halo and garment are sliced geodes. The wings are Brazilian agate. the head is a geode. The neck is crystal quartz from Arkansas. The flower is a rose rock or barite rose from Oklahoma. The leaves are moss agate from the Waliker Ranch in the Big Bend area. found by Johnny French. the cross is mesquite cut by Roy Joe from Uvalde, Texas The larger cross that it is mounted on has lambs hearts and selenite roses.

"New Life"The butterfly is local petrified wood found by Kelly Rowe of Three Rivers, Texas. The flowers are rose rocks from Oklahoma found along the Trail of Tears. The legend is that everywhere a tear fell, a rose grew. The leaves are moss agate from the Walker Ranch in the Big Bend area. The barbed wire is from the Charles Nichols Ranch. the ground is local petrified palm. The cross is oak cut by Patsy Williams of Liberty Hill, Texas.

"Grace" The Christmas Angel 's name is Grace. The halo is Brazilian agate. Tjhe head and Blouse is from Johnny French of Corpus Christi, Texas. The wings are petrified wood from the Nolan Ryan Ranch road. A gift from Kelly Rowe. The skirt is red jasper with hemotite. the cross is mesquite cut by Carol and Larry of Kerrville, Texas

"Infinity"The background rock is petrified wood from the Jim Carson Ranch in Bryan, texas. the two fossils are amonites or snail fossils and are an estimated 250 million years old. The flowers in the center are sand roses.

"The Fishers of Men"The fish in the middle is a petrified fish from Brazil called a Leptolepus and is an estimated 120 million years old. The background rocks are local petified woods and agates. The flint is a gift from Richard Dobie. The flowers are rose rocks from Oklahoma found along the Trail of Tears. "O Holy Night" The manger was made by Roy Joe Howard of Uvalde. The star is a real starfish. The angels are made of selenite from Charlotte. The floor is petrified wood . The halos are Brazilian agates. The lamb is howlite and the cow is selenite. The characters are petrified wood , all cut from the same rock with natural faces in the rock, a gift from Johnny French, of Corpus Christi. The manger is just a rock with character.
